COVID-19 situation

As the Governments of Europe adopt new measures to try and contain the spread of Coronavirus and as the virus spreads to an increased number of countries across the globe, we would like to give you an update from Rust-Oleum Europe.

 

MANAGING OUR RESPONSE

Over the last couple of weeks our senior managers have been monitoring Government guidance in the countries in which we operate and acting accordingly. We are constantly reviewing the continuously evolving scenario and putting actions into place to ensure both the wellbeing of our employees and business continuity. We have deployed home working where practical at most of our plants. We are following governments’ guidance on a daily basis.

 

COMPANY AND PLANTS ARE FULLY OPERATIONAL

All of our plants in Europe (Belgium, The Netherlands and UK) and around the world continue to be fully operational and are delivering goods to customers worldwide. There is currently no significant disruption to manufacturing schedules. We are, however, starting to see some disruption on third party carrier deliveries. This is intermittent and more prevalent for some countries than others. We will inform customers as soon as we know if there are problems with any specific deliveries. Please inform our customer service department if you are unable to take deliveries at any point.

 

EMPLOYEES HEALTH FIRST

Rust-Oleum Europe has introduced measures aimed at safeguarding the health of employees and their families. Measures include a travel ban, good hygiene guidelines, presence of hand disinfectants at all locations, restriction on outside visitors, increasing sanitation in common areas, regular health related communication flow to employees, ban on meetings, smart working, compulsory sick leave for employees showing symptoms and an introduction of social distancing at all locations.

Although we believe in the value of strong personal relationships with customers, at this stage we think the common interest is maintained and reinforced by switching to the use of technology to keep in contact. Our sales teams will be maintaining contact through email, Skype and telephone.
